New York! It has been a crazy busy month and for the shortest month of the year, it has flown by. Firstly, I had NYNOW in New York. This was my first experience showing my work at an international Trade show. Luckily, I had a day either side of the show to do some obligatory sight seeing! Here are some pictures of my stand from the show and I will soon be posting where you can find my work within the US.
I colour coded each shelf showcasing my 8 colours.
We were so fortunate with the weather with some days being -7 but sunny. This was my last day spent in New York going up the Empire State Building and visiting Bergdorf Goodman! What a way to end such a great trip!
Collect was next up and I went to visit the show before all the snow began to fall! This is the 14th edition of the show and it showcases galleries and makers from across the world. Craft Scotland represented 17 makers from Scotland and showcased the work on a stand designed by GRAS, an architecture firm from Edinburgh. The stand was minimal and clean and I think the work looked amazing!
I created a shawl pieces for the exhibition - one of my most ambitious pieces to date! Also a favourite of mine to make were these earrings from 18ct Gold.
